Our UHMPWE tow rope is made of UHMWPE fiber, stands for lightweight, efficient and antifatigue. Optima3 has extremely low elongation and high breaking strength, which make better adapt to different marine environment. Provide bright and high visible styles. Matched with the movable prime wear-resistant sleeve to effectively reduce the contact friction with vessel, buoys and docks. Special abrasion resistant coating on the rope to prevent sand from being embedded.

Specification

Synthetic HMPE Uhmwpe Rope Used in Winch Marine Towing and Slings 8-Strand 12-strand

High performance synthetic 12 strand rope is stronger than wire rope at 1/8th the weight. Because it's braided, not twisted it won't rotate when loaded. We now wrap both eyes for the two ends which are covered with polyester cover as a protection against ground dragging, (see pictures below). It rolls up into a small coil and won't kink like wire rope. It has limited stretch if used at least at a 7:1 design factor. It's important to store these lines away when not in use and avoid getting them dirty or running over them with equipment. If the ends get damaged, we can shorten, splice and re-certify them so they can be put back in use.
